Dear Visitor,
An important improvement was brought to our school with the founding of our Debate & Forensics team in 2001, the very same year our school was founded. But we have come truly a long way in the past recent years - we have adopted a unifying constitution, went to national tournaments, were able to combine both enjoyment and debate to yield something inspiring, and were able to increase both in size and in quality. All of these accomplishments we have done ourselves, through our common effort, and surely enough, will continue to do so for many years to come. Thankfully, as both the founder and the current head coach, Elizabeth Eskin, has led, inspired and trained our team to victory, and to achievement, and surely will do so in the future. Actively participating in multiple events, all of them ranging from public speaking to two-on-two debate, our commitment to excellence and debate has taken surprisingly far, both as a team and individuals. And with five of our teamates qualifying for the 2007 Nationals debate, our team has showed the debate community that we are able to compete on all levels of the competition and to provide further ground for even more of future improvement. For example, our debate team has entered the national circuit in 2006 with great success, allowing us to both compete more and to further face greater challenges. With wide range of choices on the types of debate, we able to meet and interest all participants in both the style of the debate and personal strengths, which allows everyone to find their niche. Debate can be both fun, entertaining, and at the same time improving and inspiring. That is the goal of our group – to inspire, challenge and improve all those wishing to participate. So if you are interested in becoming a member of the club, we encourage you to do so, after all, our future success will depend on the future participants.
Sincerely,
Debate Team
